Kiwipie, our resident BoP mafia kingpin.  Tauranga based by way of old Blighty, a rugby supporting cricket mad sports nut, and self professed computer geek (a lot like many here)...  Seems KP is to blame for the All Blacks 1998 season too, send any abuse via PM's on the forum, that means you Taine, I know your reading...

Describe yourself in 25 words or less:
A sports-obsessed computer geek and BOP Mafia enthusiast who runs tipping comps.

What international rugby team do you support and why?
All Blacks. I arrived in NZ 10 years ago from England where I was not a real rugby fan, I just used to watch the internationals. Always had a soft spot for the ABs even then, I was in South Africa in 96 when they won the second test and the series watching it in a bar with 100 rabid Boks. My hunger for live sport forced me to watch rugby here - and I thought being an All Blacks fan would at least enable me to support a winning team. Shame my first season was 1998.

What Super 14 team do you support and why?
The Chiefs in a fairly passive way due to the long domination of DSW (Dirty Scumbag Waikato for the uninitiated). Support all NZ teams when playing foreigners.

What's the biggest challenge facing rugby?
To make competitions matter and not just be a stepping stone. NPC is now a development comp for Super 14, Super 14 is development for the All Blacks, the All Blacks games are development for the World Cup.

Who was the game's greatest ever player?
In my time as a rugby fan, Richie McCaw

How about non-NZ players? Who were/are the greatest?
Always loved watching Serge Blanco play.

The best match you have ever seen?
Has to be the Bay winning the Shield from Auckland in 2004.

The best try you have ever seen?
Tahana in the corner to win the Shield.

What position did you play, if you played, in rugby?
I have never played - in England, rugby was only played in posh schools so it was football (soccer) in the winter and cricket in the summer. Being thin and slow, I doubt there would have been a position for me.

What do you like about the Silverfern?
Without the Silverfern, there would be no BOP Mafia. I like the fact that it is non-pretentious, doesn't have an agenda and just rolls on from year to year.

How could the site be improved?
More cricket - then again I used to write a cricket article regularly for the Fern during the summer but I lapsed.

Who's your favourite poster?
Mr Mike and His Bobness, one for the humour and the other for the thoughtfulness.

Who's the worst poster?
Too many to mention but anyone whose opinions are copied from TV or newspapers.

How could the game of rugby be improved?
Can't think of a single thing that would be certain to improve it.

What rugby player would you turn gay for?
Lord Glen Jackson.

Non-rugby questions now:

Favourite music?
Any thing recorded between 67 and 76, as long as it is over 10 minutes long, has a drum solo and lyrics that make no sense at all.

Favourite book?
To Kill a Mocking Bird

Favourite Film?
Remains of the Day

Biggest lifetime regret?
Not being a big hitter in cricket, those guys have some fun.

Greatest hope?
Bay of Plenty to contest the NPC final one day.
