Isaac Boss : Photosport.co.nzThe leprechaun from Waikato finally come good, Isaac Boss has made the Oirish tour party to New Zealand and Aussie.  The regular second string halfback injured, so Boss gets the call up.  So Mooloo faithful should get a chance to see their goateed lad get steamrolled at some stage when the Oirish take on the All Blacks in Hamilton on June the 10th.

Speaking of halfbacks, good job that the Brumbies got snotted last weekend by the Crusaders.  His joke of a one week ban (organised no doubt so he would be able to play in the expected semi final a week later) was too much for karma to ignore, hence the hiding, and the Bulls and Sharks both leaping ahead of the Brumbies.  So again, good job!

Speaking of good jobs (I see a pattern developing here, I wonder if I can keep it going), Good to see Nathan Mauger back in New Zealand. Just 28, reacjhing his prime as a centre - a dark horse for the All Black campaign in the World Cup season?  Will obviously need to play out of his skin for Hawke's Bay (who are putting quite a half decent squad together), and then for the Hurricanes, or whoever he gets selected for at Super level.  Watch this space.

Speaking of space, isn't any signature line that Jason Shoemark signs on just that, a wasted space.  He has played a handful of first class matches since his 'bursting onto the scene' when Northland beat Auckland a few seasons back.  Went to Otago, and the Highlanders, and was constantly injured or not up to the mark form wise, has now transferred to the HBay, and has had a season ending injury.

Speaking of season ending injuries, the ankle injury to Jason Eaton is, thankfully, not one of there.  However, you have to wonder how effective he will be against the Waratahs this weekend with one wonky ankle.  Expect him to be pulled off quickly once the Hurricanes get a decent start on the Sydney-siders.  Fortunately for the Hurricanes, Taranaki's favourite son, Paul Tito is back in time for this all important clash.

Speaking of Taranki, good to see that Scott Waldrom, the skinny, and more talented brother to Hurricane Thomas, is playing club rugby in the union, and should be available for their NPC side.  His career ending foot injury obviously has come right.  Will be ideal for Taranaki after they lost Chris Masoe to Wellington at the end of last season.
