The Defending Champions. The thoughts of CD The first seven rounds we'll be without McCaw, Carter, Jack, Thorne, MacDonald and Mauger. Historically the Crusaders have not started very well, so we'll need the younger players to step up and play to their potential. We should win against the Reds, Bulls. The three games in South Africa are the key as to how far we will be going to defend the Super 14 title. If we get two wins, we should hit the 2nd half of the competition with four wins and with our fully reconditioned All Blacks coming back into the mix - just watch our dust. Crusaders to win their second Super14 title, defeating the Chiefs in the foggy surrounds of Jade. Squad: Richard McCaw (Captain) - Corey Flynn - Tim Bateman - Stephen Brett - Daniel Carter - Wyatt Crockett - Andrew Ellis - Ross Filipo Ben Franks - Rico Gear - Scott Hamilton - Chris Jack - Campbell Johnstone - Casey Laulala - Johnny Leo'o - Leon MacDonald Aaron Mauger - Ben May - Peter Nixon - Kevin O'Neill - Jake Paringatai - Michael Paterson - Ti'i Paulo - Tusi Pisi - Jonathan Poff Caleb Ralph - Kieran Read - Isaac Ross - Kevin Senio - Greg Somerville (injured all S14) - Reuben Thorne - Rua Tipoki Mose Tuiali’i - Brent Ward - Paul Williams Schedule: @Blues - 2/2 Reds - 10/2 @Lions - 17/2 @Cheetahs - 24/2 @Sharks - 3/3 Bulls - 17/3 Stormers - 24/3 @Waratahs - 31/3 Western Force - 7/4 @Highlanders - 14/4 Hurricanes - 20/4 @Brumbies - 28/4 Chiefs - 4/5 My team to face the Blues: Paul Williams Scott Hamilton Caleb Ralph Rua Tipoki Brent Ward Stephen Brett Andrew Ellis Mose Tuiali'i Johnny Leo'o Kieran Read Kevin O’Neill Ross Filipo Wyatt Crockett Corey Flynn Campbell Johnstone
