Let's hear no more BS about Beauden Barrett being finished. He won that game.
Ratima looked good.

Blame the last coaches for not creating depth then.
How do we reckon Hoskins would’ve gone in the tight stuff on Saturday night. He wouldn’t have handled it. That’s why he wasn’t picked.
Jesus christ, how do you type this rubbish with two hands around Razors dick?
For one, one of the main coaches from the last lot is still there anyway. But it's not their job to create depth for the next coach. Razor isn't selecting Jacobson and Blackadder for the depth of the next coach.
Secondly, Sotutu would have been as good/bad as any of the loosies that played on the day in the tight stuff. You haven't watched the Blues this year if you think otherwise.

Thanks England for a competitive series and well done Borthwick on fixing the abortion you inherited. If they keep improving (and they've got some very good talent in that team) they'll be a real threat in 27.

I can't understand why people are calling for any change at all, unless injury related - either one sustained in the first test, or having not been considered for selection due to an existing one.
Nobody had enough of a shocker to be dropped after a 10-day prep into a single test.
Same team for me with Ratima in for TJ (prefer Christie off the bench to finish the game if he has to be there somewhere). No way we mess with RI, and Perofeta absolutely deserves to stay on.
It was an AB first-test performance for sure, but lets give them another shot to improve and then see where we are at.
Gutted, good first XV but our bench is weak and our accuracy is terrible when in good positions at the moment and it’s cost us in both tests. We desperately need to find a tight head from somewhere.
All Blacks did what they do, scrum half change was critical, Barret was class. Opportunity missed but I’m looking forward to the November test.

Well. Shit. In one way I'm happy that we played positively and were (very) competitive but of course pissed off that we ultimately lost two tests that we could have won.
Hats off to Borthwick and the coaching team to have changed the dynamic so much from the non-rugby we were playing up until match 3 of the 6N. A real chalk and cheese turnaround.
As I feared, the lack of real quality and any depth really in the front row came back to haunt us. If we'd been more competitive in the scrums, particularly in the first match, then maybe we draw the series. In today's match it was our discipline as much as our scrum weakness that cost us. Oh and Barret coming on and being the freak that he is.
Well done NZ a good series win from a standing start. Roll on the Autumn series and the 6N. I am actually looking forward to both with some anticipation.
Man, I know he used to be everyone's favourite player but the hyperbole on BB's performance is a bit crazy. Did some really good things for sure, but also put a kick into touch on the full, kicked the ball away aimlessly when we had an overlap, and put in one of his usual dog-shit exits. Total rocks and diamonds, but I'm reading 10/10 performance and some saying he has game management and ought to be starting at 10 - sorry but that's fucking mad - he has always played good cameos against tired legs, and he has never displayed good game management despite a shitload of opportunities.
Ratima, as expected, made a big difference to everything happening outside him. Backs need fast ball. I can only wonder whether we've become complacent about that fact due to having Smith for so long. Christie played well and is a super defender, but he just isn't what we need.
McKenzie continues to create most of our oportunities.
That's the worst I've seen Telea play. You don't pick him for pace, but you still need him to finish that movement somehow, or at the least recycle, not throw the ball away. Yeah Perofeta should have gone the other way, but that is a smaller error than Telea's. Aside from that, he was targeted by the poms positionally, and looked like an 18 year old Jonah vs France on defence.
Savea hasn't been top 3 loosies in either game. World player of not-this-year so far. Finau quiet, but expectations on him ought to be a bit lower.
Lineout was terrible. Very, very lucky to get away with a win against a top tier team when we turned that much ball over.
Good scrum, largely good rucks.

Disappointed with the team.
Perfect opportunity to start Williams, Newell, Blackadder, Hotham and bring Bell off the bench.

So far Ive watched the first 50 minutes
Perofeta has been poor
Wings only adequate. Overall the back three needs at least 2 but I would prefer changes to all three
Reiko isn't a centre. Time to move on
Christie is only adequateTaylor is having a poor game
Lineout is shit
Shit, hopefully Beauden Barrett makes a big impact or we’ll be screwed.

TJ is out for a couple of weeks - Hotham called in as cover.
https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/350334278/all-blacks-summon-uncapped-crusaders-halfback-noah-hotham
That’s a meteoric rise for the lad or as I like to call it Noah’s arc.

I'd prefer it if there wasn't a visible shot clock. The kickers have plenty of time
The reason you need a clock is because you are time wasting. You are either trying to prevent a kickoff, use up time during a card, or burn time at the end of the match because you are in front. All negative time wasting
Kiwis get all hot about time wasting in other areas of the game but not this one
Also, fans should criticise their player when they fuck up not the officials. It shouldn't be their job to hand hold you during time wasting. At most a ref should say "Hurry up"

Pleasantly surprised. Good call on Perofeta, rewarding form.

No cards again.
@frugby The fern logic, the less you play, the higher you get rated.
Man, this forum is crazy. We're in a transition period and things will take time getting used to. Like yeah, players had indifferent nights, but if it were up to people on Here, we'd make about 13 changes a test just to get peoples favourites in. They're still finding their feet and getting used to things under a nee coaching system. It always seems to be the same parochial bias as well which clouds everyone's judgement.

I have to say that I really thought that BB was past his sell by date. I just watched the game again and to say the he turned the game for us is an understatement. He may have lost a yard or 2 of pace but the game management when he came on was fantastic. I sound like a fan boy but at 60 I have been watching and playing rugby all my life and that performance from BB was special, one of the best that I have seen in recent times. Anyway enough said and fuck we need the experience players to step up and share their wealth. Hats off to Ratima also. Not bad for a first cap. I C a bright future. time for bed me thinks. Been up for quite a while watching here in North America. Roll on the Rugby Championship.
